Credit Card Service Tax
Effective 1st January 2010, Credit Card Service Tax is applicable to all Credit Card types as follows:
i. RM50 per annum on each principal card; and
ii. RM25 per annum on each supplementary card.
The service tax will cover all individual and corporate Principal / Supplementary credit cards or charge card, including virtual credit cards.
The service tax shall be imposed on the date the new credit card is issued, or renewed or on the anniversary of card issuance. Any service tax charged shall be non-refundable.
Cardmembers can opt to off-set the Credit Card Service Tax using reward points or any accumulated Cash MegaBonus:
